Best on Water

BW LNG, BW LPG, BW Offshore and BW Epic Kosan participated in Gastech 2023. We thank our customers, peers, vendors, industry contacts, colleagues and friends who came by our Stand to visit us and have a chat with representatives from our Affiliates.

Gastech is the largest energy exhibition and conference for natural gas, LNG, hydrogen, climate technologies, and low-carbon solutions. The four-day event was a valuable global gathering space for energy professionals to meet, collaborate, and do business in 2023.

BW LNG hosted a Drinks Reception on 5 September, and the other Affiliates hosted a combined Drinks Reception the next evening. We thank the over 300 guests and well-wishers who came by and created such an energizing ambience

Carbon Capture and Storage Solutions

The impact of climate change can be seen globally, with rising carbon dioxide (CO2) levels widely acknowledged as driving the acceleration of this change. Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is one way to help achieve the goal of the Paris Agreement, which aims to to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels

CCS is an established technology and capture hubs are being developed. But we will need more than 20 times the current capacity by 2030 to meet ambitious climate goals. About 10-20 large hubs must go on-stream every year if we are to succeed. CO2 storage sites are often far away from producers. With a need to move an estimated 90 million tons of CO2 annually to storage sites by 2040, linking CO2 producers with storage facilities will be increasingly important. While the majority of CO2 will be transported by pipelines, this may not be possible or suitable for all locations and distances. This is where shipping can play a complementary role. Watch this animation of how BW Epic Kosan can partner Affiliates within the BW Group of companies to provide a one-stop solution for CCS technology.
