Epic Shipping builds a reputation in Asia as a preferred operator and supplier of 3,500 – 5,000 cbm Japanese built pressurised LPG vessels. Ownership increases to 9 vessels, plus 6 bareboat charters. The Company manages a further 8 vessels outside the pressurised LPG sector for third parties.
Epic Gas is formed in December 2012 by the merger of Epic Shipping (15 LPG vessels), Pantheon Inc (7 LPG vessels) as well as shareholder equity investment.
Epic Gas becomes the largest commercial platform for the pressurised LPG sector, and grows to 36 vessels (25 afloat / 11 on order), with new offices in Manila and Tokyo.
Epic Gas Ltd. listed on the OTC in Norway, raising US$75m.
Epic Gas Ltd. raises US$50m in a private placeemnt. The controlled fleet increases to 44 LPG vessels including 8 newbuilds.
Epic Gas Ltd. transfers its listing from Norwegian OTC Market to Oslo Bers’ Merkur Market.
Raises US$32m in private placement and completes a new building program for 17 LPG vessels, all built in Japan.

Following an offer to all shareholders, BW Group purchases 82.6% of shares in Epic Gas Ltd.
Epic Gas and Lauritzen Kosan signed an agreement to combine their fleet and business activities to create BW Epic Kosan.
Following the successful privatisation offer from Web Holding Limited, BW Epic Kosan delists from the Oslo Stock Exchange on 6 December. The major shareholders in the privatised company continue to be BW Group, J. Lauritzen and a group of previously existing Geneva based shareholders including the Lykiardopulo family.
