Tokyo – Epic announced today that:

• CHRIS BUTTERY has been appointed Chairman of the Board
• PAUL OVER has been appointed Member of the Board of Directors
• RYOJI MOCHIZUKI has been appointed Director
• In addition to the announced ongoing new building program Epic has entered into a dialogue with a leading shipyard for pressurised gas carrier construction with the aim to further expand its fleet.

The new Chairman of the Board, Chris Buttery, says, “As Chairman I am very pleased to welcome Paul Over and Ryoji Mochizuki to Epic. With strong support from our new shareholders, with whom we have worked so successfully in the past in building Pacific Basin, I believe Epic is very well positioned for growth and to create shareholder value
going forward.”

Ryoji Mochizuki, who is based in Tokyo, has been working as a shipbroker and in the capacity as owner’s representative in the local and international shipping markets for more than 36 years. With strong representation in Japan Epic moves even closer to its important clients. Ryoji Mochizuki says,”It is a pleasure for me to be working with such a
reputable ship-owner, an experienced management team and with a company with great prospects.”

Currently Epic has established a new building program at Sasaki Shipyard Co. Ltd. and at Kitanihon Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. Delivery of the new buildings commences January 2014, continues through 2015 and with the latest initiative into 2016. The new building program will allow Epic to replace older tonnage in its control and will further demonstrate firm commitment to Epic’s loyal customers by being able to offer an even wider choice of modern, environmentally
safe high quality tonnage.
